Engagement!
My loving brother has decided to tie the knot, to secure the roost, to lock it in, to sign his life away etc, etc, etc. His amazing fiancée is Danielle. The amount of love and happiness that can be found between these two people is profound.
They met on a dating site. The most modern form of meeting other people and beginning relationships. How fortunate for them both. Love finds its way to all people. I all shapes and forms. I began to love Danielle immediately. After my sister died, I began to schedule monthly family meetings to promote family communication and unity. That is when I first met Danielle. Wow, what a gal. My brother is lucky. Extremely kind and understanding. I have to say, Danielle sat through all of our family meetings with patience and grace. Danielle even participated. Incredible, she survived.
Danielle also was presented into our family the same year my sister died. I was proud of my family for suppressing a lot of our trauma during these meetings. Danielle engaged with the frontal part of the that rama when she visited California in 2025.
We sat around my table 2 days before Christmas for a family dinner. We were going around the room and sharing personal gratitude. My dad shares that he so grateful when all of his children were in the pew at church with him. All of his children. Grace was there in the pew too. My grieving father started crying. There is not enough pain medication, mental suppressors, opiates, or alcohol to make me forget the pain of that moment. Danielle was there for that moment. She watched, listened and sat quietly as my whole family absorbed the sorrow from my father. My loving father.
Danielle absorbed and sat while we flowed through that moment. My father wasn’t the only family member who was crying. Danielle passed it all with grace and understanding. I’m not sure how many people can live through that.
Then funny story, I ruined my brother’s engagement timing. Haha. At one of our family meetings, we were planning a family trip. The family trip involves bringing the whole family but of course only if they are married or engaged. Well Paul told us that he was getting tickets for his whole family including Danielle. I totally blew it up. I was confused about Danielle coming on the trip when they weren’t engaged. Of course, my brother was going to ask her before we go on the trip. I’m just stupidly sister who cant see past her own emotions sometimes.
Well I had to apologize to everyone. Sorry again fam.
Anyway, more stories to come. Thank you Danielle for being part of our family.
Love you Danielle.
All the love.
