Giordano Bruno. A lot to unpack here.
Scandal. What could I possibly mean by scandalicious. Well, the credit goes to Ariana Grande in the film, Wicked. The liquified word that flows off the tongue, I first heard from the artist Grande herself. What a word.
Scandal is one of my favorite words and has many meanings. Ultimately, like life, scandals are another form of stories. As you can guess, scandals are filled with shock value and “immoral” actions. I believe scandals are subjective and the shock value is dependent on personal environments. Scandalicious stories attract my attention and foster my craving to understand sociology. Discussing the human experience creates a sense of understanding and comedic value that includes my involvement. Life is about stories, so why can’t they be entertaining?
Thus, I decided to refresh inspiration from 2022 Dylan Mulvaney and her 365 Days of Girlhood. My twist, 365 Days of Scandal.
This I plan to roll out in the New Year of 2026. Along with a podcast hopefully. Before that time I want to define scandal and the categories associated. The word “scandal” means a shocking or disgraceful event or action that cause public outrage or strong disapproval. The result are usually damaging to someone’s reputation, often becomes widely known through gossip or media and involves immoral, illegal or dishonest behavior. The scandals I want to focus on are the ones that are more that just talked about but have played out in history and verified by society. I want to highlight the stories of scandal that stem from truth and actuality. Stories like the St. Augustine and his prostitute lover, Oppenheimer and his many wife lovers, or Giordano Bruno and his scandalous ideas.
These are just but a few of the scandalous stories of the past. These same stories shape the lives of important people and is ultimately how the universe operates. The foundation for humans and society is to be around people and talk about them. It’s one thing that everyone can do and will do. This I will dive more into before the new year. Scandal can be a form of survival communication, anger, lust or revenge. There are some many factors of behaviors involving scandalous stories. There is the story and the behavior. So many questions arise in my head. Do scandalous stories affect or change behavior? Or do behaviors affect or change scandalous stories. Or is it both? That will be for another discussion. Bye Bye for now.
